SUMMARY:CSHOA Yard Sale
DESCRIPTION:Yard Sale!\nA Chesapeake Station Community Yard Sale has been scheduled for September 16 (Saturday)\, 8:00-12:00.  If you would like to participate\, all you need to do is get your “treasures” out on your driveway by 8:00AM. \nEven if you only have a few items it will be a nice event to meet some of your neighbors. This would also help the traffic by advertising as a community. The more the merrier. \nWe plan to advertise on the Internet\, Craigslist\, Facebook\, the newspapers\, and with signs. \nPlanning is also in place for a special pick-up two days later on September 18th by Purple Heart\, National Federation of the Blind\, American Red Cross\, and St. Vincent’s for those few items not sold.  Just put your items in boxes\, sacks\, etc. with the name of the charity you wish to donate to and place them at the curb on the 18th by 7:00 am.  Jean Muller will be collecting names and addresses of people wishing to donate at our Annual Owners Meeting on September 9 and during the yard sale on September 16. \nIf you have ideas on how to make this event more successful\, contact Jean Muller at joje34@verizon.net or 410-257-3572.

The Ryan Forrester Band WILL play Sunday evening from 7pm until Dusk\, followed by synchronized fireworks (see below). The barges are the platform from which the fireworks are launched\, and they cannot leave the harbor with winds gusting over 30 kts. \nJuly 3\, 2016 – Veterans’ Memorial Park – 7pm to Dusk – Ryan Forrester Band – Family Celebration in the Park. Sponsored by BGE – FREE Event – followed by fireworks with synchronized music\, which may be heard at Veterans’ Memorial Park\, the Chesapeake Beach Water Park\, the Chesapeake Beach Resort & Spa Complex\, or by tuning your radio to 87.9 FM. Rain Date is Sunday July 3. \nTraffic Plan for Twin Beaches on July 3:  The traffic plan is set up to eliminate all left hand turns on a portion of Route 261 going through the Twin Beaches\, eliminating the need to stop traffic randomly and enabling traffic to flow with minimal stopping. The centerline of Route 261 will be blocked with delineation devices that will prohibit vehicles from making U-turns. Traffic north of Route 260 along Route 261 on the east side of Route 261 must make right turns and exit left on 5th Street to Boyd’s Turn Road to Route 260. Traffic on the west side of Route 261 must make a right turn and exit on 27th Street to G Street to Route 260. Traffic south of Route 260 along Route 261 on the east side of Route 261 must make a right turn and must turn left onto Route 260. Traffic on the west side of Route 261 must turn right and continue along Route 261 to Summer City Blvd or continue south to Ponds Wood Road and proceed to Maryland Route 4.  This Traffic Plan will be instituted around the time of the start of Fireworks.
